Annual Function Classes III-V

 

 

 

Delhi Public School, Bathinda, hosted its spectacular Annual Function, “Uday – From Darkness to Light,” on November 21, 2025, for the students of Classes III to V. The event celebrated the creativity, confidence, and cultural brilliance of the middle school learners.

The function was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Colonel Avinash Dayanand Pitre (NCC Army Wing Officer). The Director, Mrs. Vandana Talwar, and the Executive Director, Mr. Sahil Talwar, added to the significance of the occasion with their presence. The school also warmly welcomed Dr. Paramjeet Singh (Dean, Maharaja Ranjit Singh University) and Ms. Anamika Sandhu from the NGO ‘Ek Soch’ as special guests.

The ceremony commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony and the presentation of saplings, symbolizing wisdom, growth, and new beginnings. The programme was smoothly compared by teachers Mr. Gumeet Singh and Mrs. Sonika Pahuja, with confident student anchors carrying the momentum forward.

The Director, Mrs. Vandana Talwar, addressed the audience, sharing the school’s vision and applauding the hard work of the students and teachers.
The cultural segment opened with a mesmerizing Shiv Vandana, setting a serene and divine atmosphere, followed by a joyful Welcome Song. The audience remained engrossed throughout a dynamic and powerful dance drama portraying the eternal triumph of good over evil. Stunning musical renditions by the students added further vibrance and kept the audience captivated.

Students proudly presented the School Annual Report, highlighting the year’s achievements. This was followed by an encouraging address by the Principal, Mr. J. K. Saini, who emphasized holistic development and the spirit of excellence.
The Chief Guest, Colonel Pitre, delivered an inspiring speech, highly praising the discipline, coordination, and remarkable performances of the students.

The event concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks by Dr. Anu Sandeep Kaur, followed by an energetic Grand Finale showcasing the folk dances of Bhangra and Gidda, filling the atmosphere with joy and cultural vibrance.

The Annual Function stood as a proud testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and upholding cultural excellence.
