INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Delhi Public School Bathinda organised the Investiture Ceremony for the Senior and Junior Student Council on 22nd May 2026 with great pride and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked the formal inauguration of the newly elected Student Council and House Bodies, celebrating leadership, responsibility, and commitment among the students.

The event commenced with the oath-taking ceremony, where the young leaders pledged to serve the school with sincerity, discipline, and dedication. The esteemed Principal, Mr. Jatinder Kumar Saini, honoured the council members by presenting them with badges and motivated them to become confident, responsible, and inspiring leaders.

The House Incharge and Wardens also felicitated the members of the six houses by awarding badges to the House Captains and Prefects, encouraging them to uphold the values and traditions of the school.

The ceremony concluded with an inspiring address by Principal Jatinder Kumar Saini, who motivated the students to lead with integrity, responsibility, and teamwork. The event ended on a note of pride and optimism for a successful academic session ahead.

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 2026

Delhi Public School Bathinda celebrated Mother’s Day with great warmth and enthusiasm on 9th May 2026, bringing together students and their mothers for a memorable day filled with love, gratitude, and joyful learning experiences.

The celebrations were thoughtfully organized across all wings of the school under the theme “Mom – My First Teacher, My Forever Friend.” Students expressed their affection and appreciation for their mothers through creative presentations, artistic expressions, and heartfelt activities.

For our Nursery to Class II students, the occasion was a delightful opportunity to welcome their mothers into the classrooms, creating precious moments of bonding and togetherness.

Students of Classes III to V celebrated “A Day with Mother,” where mothers actively participated alongside their children in a variety of engaging activities. From storytelling, art and craft, and card-making to fun-filled mind games and creative challenges, the event showcased teamwork, creativity, and the special connection shared between mothers and their children.

The Middle and Senior Wing students added a meaningful touch to the celebration through thoughtful presentations and expressions of gratitude, highlighting the invaluable role mothers play as guides, mentors, and lifelong friends.

The event was a beautiful reflection of the love, care, and unwavering support that mothers provide, leaving everyone with cherished memories and smiles that will last a lifetime.

INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE & POETRY RECITATION COMPETITION 2026

Delhi Public School Bathinda proudly hosted the Inter-School Debate & Poetry Recitation Competition on 8th May 2026, bringing together talented students from eight reputed schools across Bathinda, Sangrur, and Patiala.

The event showcased an impressive blend of confidence, eloquence, creativity, and literary excellence as participants captivated the audience with their thought-provoking arguments and expressive recitations. The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of educators, whose expertise and encouragement added great value to the event.

The Debate Competition witnessed spirited exchanges of ideas, while the Poetry Recitation Competition highlighted the artistic expression and linguistic skills of young learners. The outstanding performances of all participants reflected their dedication, preparation, and passion for the spoken word.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the winners and applauding the enthusiastic participation of all students. It was a memorable occasion that fostered communication skills, creativity, and healthy competition among young minds.

FIRE SAFETY WORKSHOP

On April 16, 2026, the campus of DPS Bathinda transformed into a dynamic learning hub as students from Classes 6 to 12 participated in a comprehensive fire safety drill. Recognizing that preparedness is the best defense, the school organized this initiative to equip students with the decisive actions required during a fire emergency.

​​The event was elevated by the presence of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), whose personnel led a masterclass in emergency response. Moving beyond mere theory, the CISF provided:

– ​Tactical Demonstrations: Clear, step-by-step instructions on navigating high-stress scenarios.

– ​Practical Engagement: Students gained invaluable hands-on experience with firefighting equipment.

– ​Confidence Building: The interactive nature of the drill ensured that students felt empowered and capable, rather than overwhelmed.

​Reflecting on the success of the day, Principal JK Saini extended a heartfelt thank you to the Fire Officer and the dedicated CISF team. Their expertise didn’t just teach a lesson—it fostered a safer, more resilient school community.

BAISAKHI & AMBEDKAR JAYANTI CELEBRATIONS

Delhi Public School (Main Branch) celebrated Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti with great enthusiasm on 13th April. The day began with an engaging question, “Do you know why we celebrate Baisakhi?”, sparking curiosity among young learners. Teachers shared an interesting story to help students understand the festival’s historical and cultural significance, especially its connection with the harvest season in Punjab.

Children actively participated in discussions, learning about golden wheat crops, the charkha, and phulkari, which enriched their cultural awareness. The celebration became lively with energetic Bhangra performances on the beats of the dhol, where every child participated with joy and confidence. A meaningful video presentation further enhanced their understanding of the occasion.

Students added vibrant colors to the event by dressing in traditional Punjabi attire—boys in kurta-pajamas and girls in salwar suits. Students of Classes I and II also recited poems on Baisakhi, expressing the importance of the festival.

The celebration promoted interactive learning, boosting listening, thinking, and communication skills. It also encouraged self-expression, teamwork, and social bonding. Overall, the day was a perfect blend of joy, culture, and learning, helping students connect with their rich heritage.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

On March 19-20, 2026, Delhi Public School Bathinda warmly welcomed the newest members of its community during the Orientation Ceremony for parents and students of Nursery to Class IX (Batch 2026–27). The event marked the beginning of a promising journey, bringing together families, educators, and students in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and collaboration.

The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt address by the Principal, Mr. J.K. Saini, who extended a gracious welcome to all new families. He highlighted the importance of a strong parent-school partnership in nurturing confident, capable, and compassionate learners.

The orientation provided valuable insights into various aspects of the school:

  • Infrastructure & Safety: Parents were introduced to the school’s modern facilities and robust safety measures.
  • School Policies: An overview of essential guidelines, protocols, and the code of conduct was shared.
  • Key Initiatives: The school’s innovative approach, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence, active learning strategies, and initiatives like the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), was showcased.
  • Examination System: A clear and structured explanation of the assessment and evaluation process was provided.

Adding vibrancy to the occasion, students presented a series of captivating performances. The soulful welcome song, a disciplined yoga display, and energetic dance routines reflected the diverse talents nurtured at DPS Bathinda.
