AFS WORKSHOP – PATHWAYS TO GLOBAL CLASSROOMS TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS

A training program was organised for the staff of DPS Bathinda in collaboration with AFS on the topic ‘ Pathways to Global Classrooms Training for Educators’. The sessions were conducted in online mode for 3 days from 6th March to 8th March 2023. The resource person Ms. Anjum Panna, a certified Global Competency Trainer, conducts the sessions in a highly interactive and engaging format through practical experiences to raise the bar of teaching practices by integrating the final aspects of compassion, culture, empathy, communication and understanding aspects in the relationship between teacher and teacher, teacher and student. The school is the society which are extremely relevant to build an environment of trust and belongingness in creating a happier learning environment.

The takeaways by the educators were:

  • Global competencies in an experiential way by focusing on building emotional intelligence by educating in socio-emotional skills such as mindfulness, empathy, and compassion to appreciate and understand different cultures and issues and interact respectfully with each other.
