Legal, societal, and psychological ramifications of Doping in Sports

The students of Physical Education (classes 11 and 12) participated in a thought-provoking and enlightening webinar organized by NCERT in collaboration with National Anti-Doping Agency, an organization dedicated to promoting competitive sports while upholding principles of fair play and transparency. Yasir Arafat and Dr. Rajinder Dhamija served as the keynote speakers, delving into the legal, societal, and psychological consequences of doping. The psychiatrist, Dr. Rajinder Dhamija, shed light on the stressors inherent in competitive sports and offered strategies for managing them. The legal advisor elucidated that while doping itself may not constitute a criminal offense, engaging in such practices can carry legal repercussions. Both speakers implored the students to abstain from doping and take responsibility for their actions.
