Encouraging a Reading Culture in the School Library

The DPS Bathinda Library is a haven for book enthusiasts, housing an extensive collection of over 12,000 books, including novels, encyclopedias, magazines, and subject-specific texts. The library provides a vibrant learning atmosphere to cultivate a lifelong love for reading among students.

To further enrich students’ literary experiences, the library organizes book exhibitions, maintains a reading club, and encourages students to write book reviews and articles that are featured in the school newsletter. Subscriptions to 9 newspapers and 23 magazines ensure a wide variety of reading materials for both students and teachers.

The library is equipped with 24/7 Wi-Fi, allowing users to access internet-based information anytime, further enhancing its role as a modern knowledge hub.
