SUMMER CAMP

Delhi Public School, Bathinda successfully organized a vibrant and enriching Summer Camp from 26th May to 6th June 2025. The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 450 students, who engaged in a diverse array of activities thoughtfully curated across three interactive slots. From theatre to mock TED talks, music, dance, yoga, art & craft, science experiments, digital skills, and robotics, every session was designed to ignite curiosity and foster creativity. Students also enthusiastically took part in a variety of sports such as swimming, cricket, skating, and football.

In addition to the creative pursuits, an Academic Enrichment Camp was concurrently held for Classes X and XII, focusing on core subjects through intensive sessions and concept clarity workshops. These academic modules were designed to strengthen foundational knowledge and enhance exam readiness in a focused and supportive environment.

The grand closing ceremony on 6th June 2025 was a joyful celebration of learning and talent. Students showcased their newly acquired skills through vibrant performances and exhibitions, reflecting the fun, learning, and confidence they gained during the camp. The Summer Camp offered a perfect balance of learning and leisure, making the vacation both meaningful and memorable for all participants.

IH TABLE TENNIS COMPETITION

On April 25, 2025, Delhi Public School, Bathinda organized Inter-House Table Tennis Competition, an event that celebrated agility, precision, and the vibrant sportsmanship of students from Classes IX to XII. With energetic participation and unwavering enthusiasm, the competition proved to be a resounding success, reflecting the school’s dedication to holistic development through both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

INTER SCHOOL DEBATE, DECLAMATION & POETRY

Delhi Public School, Bathinda hosted an Inter-School Debate, Declamation, and Poetry Recitation Competition on April 28, 2025, witnessing enthusiastic participation from ten reputed schools across the region. The event served as a dynamic platform for young minds to showcase their eloquence, creativity, and public speaking skills.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. Gurprem Lehri, Chief Reporter at Dainik Jagran, Bathinda, who applauded the school’s commendable initiative in nurturing literary talent and fostering confident communicators among students.

IH SPELLETHON COMPETITION

The IH Spellethon, held on April 25, 2025, saw enthusiastic participation from classes 4-5. Students showcased their spelling skills in rounds like Diction, Jumble, and Missing Letter. Ganga emerged as the winner, followed closely by Ravi in second place and Yamuna in third. The competition was fierce, but all participants demonstrated impressive linguistic abilities.

Congratulations to Ganga and all participants on their achievement! The event was a great success, promoting healthy competition and spelling skills among students.

IH DECLAMATION COMPETITION

“Speech is power: speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel.”

Bringing this powerful thought to life, Delhi Public School, Bathinda hosted an inspiring Inter-House Declamation Competition on 25th April 2025 for students of Classes VI to VIII. The event was designed to cultivate eloquence, instill confidence, and promote critical thinking among young minds.

The competition was divided into three categories based on class levels, with each group addressing a contemporary and thought-provoking theme:

– Class VI: Health is Wellness

– Class VII: Balancing Screen Time & Physical Activity

– Class VIII: Ethics and Responsibility in the Online World

Participants delivered their speeches with poise, clarity, and conviction, leaving the judges thoroughly impressed with their depth of thought and oratory skills.

CAREER GUIDANCE WORKSHOP

A new initiative aimed at empowering our students for future success! DPS, BATHINDA has partnered with the renowned educational company, to provide specialized guidance and preparation for competitive entrance exams like CLAT, CET, and IPMAT.

We organized an insightful seminar for our Class 11 and 12 students to shed light on this exciting program and the diverse career opportunities that await them after their secondary education. Mr. Rajiv Arora, the academic head of the company, graced the occasion as the speaker, offering invaluable information and guidance.

This collaboration reiterates our commitment to providing our students with a holistic educational experience that extends beyond the classroom. We believe in equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen paths.

IH COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION

DPS Bathinda organized an Inter-House Collage Making Competition on April 24, 2025, centered around the theme ‘Save Mother Earth.’

Students from Classes IV and V participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and environmental awareness. Class IV focused on the theme “Life on Land” (SDG 15), while Class V explored “Climate Action” (SDG 13). Each house presented compelling collages that illustrated the impact of human activities on nature and emphasized the importance of sustainable living.

With vibrant colors and powerful imagery, the students highlighted key issues such as biodiversity conservation, carbon footprint reduction, and eco-friendly practices. The competition fostered teamwork, artistic expression, and a deeper understanding of global environmental challenges.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

Delhi Public School, Bathinda, joyfully celebrated Earth Day on April 22, 2025, with a vibrant and meaningful special assembly by the students of Classes Nur–III. Our little environmental champions came together to sing songs, share messages on keeping our planet clean, and creatively express their love for nature through colorful posters and eco-friendly crafts.

The celebration continued with an enriching Nature Walk around the school campus, helping students connect directly with the environment. This hands-on experience was beautifully complemented by a tree plantation drive, where each child took pride in planting and nurturing a sapling—symbolizing hope and growth.

Adding a poetic touch, the young learners recited heartfelt verses on the theme “Save Earth,” demonstrating their growing awareness and commitment. Dr. Anu Sandeep Kaur, our esteemed Coordinator, inspired the students with a thoughtful address, offering practical tips on how they can care for Mother Earth in their everyday lives.

The event culminated with a pledge taken by all students to protect and preserve the environment. It was heartwarming to witness our young learners take their first steps towards becoming responsible global citizens. 🌱💚

A key component of this endeavor is a guest talk program, designed to connect students with experienced mentors. Recently, Dr. Zaved Ahmed Khan, the esteemed Dean of Science at Baba Farid Group of Institutes, enriched the students of Classes 10, 11, and 12 with an insightful session on “Navigating Stress and Cultivating Happiness.” The Senior Mistress, Mrs. Paramjeet Kingra, expressed her sincere gratitude to Dr. Khan for dedicating his valuable time to guide the students.

A key component of this endeavor is a guest talk program, designed to connect students with experienced mentors. FIRE SAFETY WORKSHOP

To instill crucial fire safety knowledge, DPS, BATHINDA organized a comprehensive fire drill on April 17, 2025, specifically for students in classes 6 through 12. The primary objective of the exercise was to educate students on the immediate steps to take in the event of a fire emergency.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) expertly conducted the demonstration, providing students with invaluable hands-on experience in essential fire safety procedures. This practical approach ensured that students not only understood the theoretical aspects but also gained confidence in their ability to respond effectively.
Principal J.K. Saini expressed sincere gratitude to the Fire Officer and the entire CISF team for their dedication in educating the students.

NEW FLEET OF AC BUSES

Driven by Safety, Powered by Comfort – Our New Fleet is Here!”

We are delighted to share that DPS Bathinda has renewed the contract with transporters adding 24 brand-new, 2025 model AC buses fitted with all the modern safety features.

This will surely provide much desired relief to the students from the scorching summer.

Principal Mr. J.K. Saini graciously received the keys to the new fleet and congratulated the proud owners of new buses (contractors). The Eicher representative extended heartfelt thanks to the school management for placing their trust in Eicher.

At DPS Bathinda, student security remains our top priority—and these buses are a step forward in providing a safe, comfortable, and reliable journey to and from school.

ESTEEMED ALUMNUS, LIEUTENANT VIKRAM SINGH

DPS Bathinda proudly welcomed its esteemed alumnus, Lieutenant Vikram Singh, who is currently serving in the Indian Army.

He led a career counseling session for Class XI and XII students focusing on how to join the National Defence Academy (NDA). During the session, he shared his valuable insights on pursuing a career with the National Defence Academy (NDA). He provided expert guidance on preparing for both the written exam and the interview, offering valuable advice to students interested in joining the NDA. His advice was especially useful for students who are thinking about choosing this path for their future

WELCOME TO SCHOOL

A Great Education Begins with a Great Kindergarten Experience

April 2, 2025, marked a joyful new beginning as DPS Little Learners Wing (Main School) welcomed its newest learners. With wide smiles and tiny hands held tightly by parents and grandparents, the children stepped into their new world of wonder.

The school radiated warmth, creating a safe and loving environment where each child felt at home. Teachers had planned a delightful welcome—handmade crowns, cheerful music, and fun activities helped ease first-day jitters. UKG teachers also joined the celebrations, organizing interactive sessions to greet their students with equal enthusiasm.

Laughter and excitement echoed through the hallways, setting the tone for a joyful year ahead filled with learning and growth.

Meanwhile, at the Junior Wing (City Branch), the day was just as magical. The new academic session began with giggles, a few nervous smiles, and warm welcomes from teachers who greeted students with colorful crowns.

The campus buzzed with music, playtime on swings, and creative activities like clay modeling and a handprint art session—capturing memories to last a lifetime. Gentle care and encouragement from teachers helped every child feel confident and secure.

It was a day filled with little joys and big dreams—a perfect start to an exciting journey ahead.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

DPS Bathinda successfully conducted an Orientation Programme for parents and students joining the school for the 2025-26 academic session. The event aimed to familiarize new families with the school’s ethos, academic structure, and diverse co-curricular offerings.

The session proved to be highly informative, providing parents and students with a comprehensive overview of the various academic and co-curricular programs available at DPS Bathinda. This allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education.
